Shopping at Chicwish: 2023 Review

Thinking about shopping at Chicwish? I recently purchased some clothing from this shop, and I’m here to share what I bought, what I thought, and whether I’ll be back!

The weather is slowly transitioning to fall, there’s a few trends I’ve been wanting to try, and honestly, I’ve felt super uninspired by my closet lately, so I thought it was time for a bit of a refresh. I decided to check out Chicwish. The items on their website look so feminine and sophisticated! This post isn’t sponsored, and I wasn’t given anything for free or at a discount. Past Purchases from Chicwish

I’ve shopped at Chicwish before, and I really liked the products I received! Chicwish’s chiffon maxi skirts have to be their best-selling products because the quality of these skirts are great! They’re well-lined, a great length, and they come in tons of colors! The dreamy chiffon material is flowy with a beautiful drape to it. I bought the Timeless Favorite Chiffon Maxi Skirt in teal, and it has to be one of my favorite things in my closet! It was the perfect thing to wear for beach photographs on my Jamaican honeymoon. I also love the Floral and Frill Maxi Skirt! I pair both skirts with the white Diva Full Lace Crop Top.

Another favorite item from my past Chicwish purchase is the Stripe Print Turtleneck Knit Midi Dress. I’ve seen this dress in so many ads online. It’s so sophisticated, and the quality is great! I adore the full skirt. This dress is one of my favorite pieces for work outfits.

My Latest Purchase from Chicwish

I had positive purchases in the past with Chicwish, so I was excited to put in another order. Some items shipped from California, and others shipped from China. It took about 2 weeks for my order to arrive. One item shipped separately and took another week to arrive. Overall, the shipping process wasn’t too bad. Here’s what I ordered:

Wide-Leg Pants

Wide-leg pants have been on-trend for a while, and I really wanted to try a pair. Chicwish has a bunch of options, so I ordered a classic black pant with a belt and a fun floral pair. The Sleek Belted Straight-Leg Pants fit very well. The material is on-par with other dress pants I’ve bought from places like Spanx, Loft, and Calvin Klein. They also have pockets!

The Chichwish Elastic Waist Wide-Leg Pants admittedly aren’t my favorite. My main issue is that they aren’t lined. The description does say they aren’t lined, so it’s my own fault for not reading close enough. They aren’t fully see-through, but I did spend a fair amount of time holding them up to the light and looking at them from different angles. I do love how flowy the material is, and these also have pockets. The pink floral pattern I bought is not in stock right now, but Chicwish has a white floral option if you’re interested.

Asymmetric Boat Neck Ruched Top

I bought the Asymmetric Boat Neck Ruched Top in two colors: taupe and lilac. These tops looked like they’d be great work blouses to pair with either printed or solid bottoms. The ruching on these tops give them a beautiful shape. The necklines, however, are pretty wide, so you’ll need a non-traditional bra for underneath. They’re also fairly short, so you’ll want to pair them with a high-rise bottom. I found myself having to adjust the top a fair amount. It may help to size up. Overall, these tops are pretty, but I’m not sure I recommend purchasing them.

White Blouse

I definitely needed a new solid white blouse. They can be a great base for layering, balance out a busy bottom piece, or fit into a color-block look. The Wavy Neckline Short Bubble Sleeve Top definitely caught my eye. The top’s material is thick, which is something I like in light-colored tops. This Chicwish top is exactly what I thought it would be like based solely on the pictures on the website. Gotta love when items actually look the same in person as they do online!

Short-sleeve Sweaters

It may be fall on the calendar, but it’s still summer in the forecast! I love short-sleeve sweaters for this time of year. They still give you that cozy, sweater-y feel without the possibility of having a heat stroke. The Triangle Cutout Short Sleeve Knit Top in mint is such a fun addition to my wardrobe. I love the bright color! The bubble sleeves and cutout details give this top a lot of interest too. The Square Neck Puff Shoulder Cotton Top I bought also has fun sleeve details. It’s another great “plain white” piece to pair with other items while still holding interest on its own. Chicwish has so many fun short-sleeve sweaters, and I’m very excited to work these two pieces into my outfit rotation.

Sweater Dress

I have been seeing this Chicwish sweater dress EVERYWHERE on my social media ads, so I finally decided to buy it. The official name for this sweater dress is the Warm Welcome Grid Turtleneck Sweater Dress. Y’all, this sweater dress did not disappoint! It’s very well-made, so cozy, and it doesn’t cling to your body in awkward ways like a lot of sweater dresses do. I am so excited to break this baby out once the weather breaks! It would be perfect for apple picking or outdoor fall adventures where you want to look cute but still stay warm. It’s also office-appropriate. I’ll probably pair this with a dress belt to give it some shape and a pair of knee-high boots.

Chiffon Midi Skirt

Remember how I said the chiffon maxi skirts that Chicwish sells are probably their best sellers? Well, their chiffon midi skirts are equally as dreamy! The Gradient Mesh Sequined Midi Skirt has a beautiful purple gradient, and the embroidered sequins give it the perfect amount of extra sparkle! This skirt flows so prettily when you walk too! If this skirt is a bit much to wear to work, it would definitely fit for a nice night out. I was worried it might look cheap, but the material on this skirt is definitely top quality! Highly recommend adding a Chicwish skirt to your cart before checking out!

My Thoughts and Tips

Overall, I am really pleased with what I bought from Chicwish. This shop has so many beautiful items, and they’re very well-made. I’ve seen Chicwish compared to SHEIN, but other than the fact that both shops ship from China, there’s not much comparison in terms of quality.

I will say that reading the description of the items and evaluating the material and how it would look in person is key. My own failure to read the description resulted in me buying pants that aren’t lined. I’ve also seen some people who ordered skirts that appear very full in the pictures get disappointed that the skirt that arrived was, in fact, very full.

My final tip is to know your measurements and use them when selecting your size. Honestly, this is just a good practice any time your shop online. Just because you’re a certain size in one item, doesn’t mean a different item won’t have a different sizing scheme. Having your measurements on hand will ensure a proper fit when your item arrives.
